The FIA Indian Formula 4 Championship is India’s first and only FIA-certified single-seater racing series, launched to provide a clear and structured path for young drivers transitioning from karting to international motorsport. Backed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), Indian F4 is the ideal platform for aspiring racers to begin their journey toward the highest levels of the sport, including Formula 1.

Launched in 2023, the championship marks a new era for Indian motorsport. With the support of global motorsport brands such as Ligier (chassis) and Oreca (engines), and Mobil 1, along with the organisation of Racing Promotions Pvt Ltd (RPPL), the series is designed to match global standards while fostering homegrown talent.

The championship, currently heading into its third year, has seen drivers graduating to F1 Academy, FRECA, GB3 and other Junior Formula Championships.

As the first step on the FIA Global Pathway to F1 in India, the championship is committed to nurturing future champions by providing access to opportunities, all while elevating the profile of Indian motorsport on the global stage.
